i have kind of the same problem on windows 8.1 (multiplayer is loading, then the loading hangs short time, black screen with cursor top right, then the game closes itself). for test i installed windows 7 and there it worked pretty well, no problem connecting to servers.
i also tried everything (PB, drivers,everything from http://www.reddit.com/r/battlefield_4/comments/1q2bbt/compilation_of_errors_and_how_i_fixed_them/... even http://de.reddit.com/r/battlefield_4/comments/1r7hd6/windows_8_bf4_memory_leak_the_cause_and_the_fix/)
have the game for 2 weeks and not able to play a single multiplayer game on win8.1
my motherboard is little older but i bought a new AMD card for bugfield4... single player is very playable on windows 8.1 it runs better then on 7..

Its a **bleep**ing game for God's sake. You suppose to install it and click and run it and everything works. It's not nuclear science.
Every single other NON EA game I can just click on and it works. No problems.
I'm tired of this bull. I work my ass off the whole week and just want to relax and play the game I paided and insane amount for but now I rather get frustrated by this crap.
Tons of people have posted about this over and over, yet you just ignore them. I can clearly see why you where voted worst company. Service & Support. Go look it up in the dictionary asap

I did a FULL re-install of windows & all my drives, Origin & BF4 and I still get the same sh1t. WTF
