Get both crashes. mostly appcrash x86 and 64bit. Fully up to date system, everything done over 2x. New drivers, old ones... even beta drivers for video. Repaired game, deleted settings-repaired, uninstalled to repairing the fresh installed game. i have done everything that people have said to try to do and still nothing. cant get a fix on this and none know of a true fix.

Tried that, uninstalled SP, rebooted, installed again, rebooted - no effect.

    Just crashed again:

  • Hi vs3n,

Sorry for the long time between replies - I don't check gmail that much.

It's definitely a MS Visual Studio problem from the Fault Log. Any chance of not using VISTA 32bit? (I wouldn't trust it).

Make sure you have these visual studio updates installed: <a href="http://imgur.com/k81oany"><img src="http://i.imgur.com/k81oany.png?1" title="source: imgur.com" /></a>

also try some other updates from this page: http://www.microsoft.com/en-au/download/details.aspx?id=30679

I'm getting other Direct X errors myself at the moment. BF4 has be one of the most prone to crash games.

    Hi NamelessHenchman,

Thanks for the reply! As for upgrading the OS - it is actually a Windows Server 2008 (not R2) as I need to do development and maintenance and run a lot of legacy 32-bit applications (hence why the x86), so upgrading it soon might not be practical. My Visual Studio is up to date and I just double checked that I had all of those patches installed.

Anyways, I think this issue can be closed - the last update from a few weeks ago seems to have resolved all of those issues and I've had only one crash and it was most likely the video card (as I got BSOD).
