DirectX Error - swapChain ResizeBuffers etc. ???
I just started to get this DirectX Error when trying to play BF4 that is new to me. Just thought that I would ask here if anyone has a fix or has seen it before I start messing with doing the usual testing of fixes and such.
This does not happen every time I try but it has happened a few times in the past two days.
Note this is on Windows 7 64bit and I am using two 6970 GPU's with driver version 14.2 if that matters. I also have 16GB of RAM and a FX1850 CPU in this particular mobo.
Here is a Pic of the Error: http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh41/WarbNull/BF4/DXError.png
It basically says this:
DirectX function "scree->swapChain->ResizeBuffers(
renderer->m_settings->getTrippleBuffereingEnable() ? 3 : 2,
screen->info.windowWidth, screen->info.windowHeight,
DXGI_FORMATR8G8B8A8_UNORM,
DXGI_SWAP_CHAIN_FLAG_ALLOW_MODE_SWITCH)" failed with
complete the call."). GPU: "AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series", Driver:14.2
(13.35.1005-140223a-168456E). Free virtual memory:4291166736kB /
4294967168kB. Total resource memory:0kB. Make sure you have a
supported graphics card with at least 512 MB.
- Hey, @twitch_Pivettone make sure that all drivers for windows and your gpu drivers are up to date.You can also try to do a clean boot to see if there any programs messing with Battlefield 4 and turn off any overlay programs for example Discord or Nvidia experience.Try running a CCleaner to remove old temp files and cache.Let me know if this works or not for you. 🙂/Atic
