Please go to your Battlefield 3 folder in /Origin Games and install Direct X directly out of this folder.
Usually your path should look like this: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3\__Installer
In __Installer, you will find a Direct X folder. Just install Direct X from this folder and check if this will solve your issue.
