Same here, GTX 770 2GB, driver 376.33 DirectX function "Dx11Renderer::tryMap" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. "). GPU: "NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770", Driver: 37633. This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. Also, make sure you have a supported graphics card with at least 2GB. Yup same issues here. Crashing every game again after a few minutes. Unplayable. Is there any solution please?

this error makes the game unplayable for me and Im playing with a GTX 1080... I spent 130 dollars on this game that I cant play.

I, too get this issue. I, too have a 770. I can usually play a couple rounds before it crashes, but today it's been crashing frequently making the game unplayable. I've searched online and found a post on the GeForce forums full of people with the exact same issue. https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/972627/geforce-drivers/battlefield-1-directx-crashes-mostly-gtx770-/2/

Please fix this as soon as possible. This is affecting a large portion of your playerbase.

Yes, I got exactly the same issue - of course on NVidia. And before last patch the message was (sometimes) something like "Device hung due to badly formatted commands. This is not a driver issue. Software you are using sent unrecognized command to the device.".

Now it's just "GPU hung" error as on the screenshot attached by OP. It happens only on fullscreen. When in borderless mode, device just hungs and getting windows message on bottom right of the screen "Display stopped working, and got recovered" (or something like that) - in that case whole Origin crashes too (I guess it's not a real crash, as no report can be made - it just exits), if it wasn't minimized to tray - without any error, and game just "stops responding".

After a patch same behaviour, new error.

I wonder... if the final cause (no matter what causes it) of game crash is reset of graphic device... why won't you just implement reinitialization in such a case? Does that mean that all data has to be filled again in card memory? No... until it has power, everything should stay there. So it would be like a blink to reinit it.
