Dragon's Teeth Freeze and Crash
I Recently came back from a hiatus to play some Battlefield 4 (I originally took a break because your game has given me TONS of grief and I have had to spend HOURS of my life and personal free time troubleshooting your game) and now here I am YET AGAIN troubleshooting this game. I have an Octacore Processor, plenty of RAM, Fast Internet, and a Killer GFX Card in my Gaming Rig.
I am going to start out by saying that I do not want to hear that this is a problem with my computer because I have spent the last 5 or 6 hours troubleshooting this on the forums and there are 21390572305897 people that share my exact same issue. This is a problem with YOUR Expansion.
Problem:
I have rarely been able to get past the load screen, and when I do I get to play for about 10 - 15 seconds before my game completely crashes and I have to CTRL-ALT-Delete to close it out and then spend another hour or so troubleshooting to see if I can do your job and fix the problem.
Things I have tried in order of first to last:
1. Disabling all Firewall and Anti-Virus Softwares to ensure my game is not getting some how blocked
2. Port Forwarded the appropriate ports as directed by information from EA staff.
3. Set some Registry entries to True that were incorrectly modified by your downloads (this changed nothing.)
4. Disabled Origin in game. (this fixed nothing)
5. Ran the Repair utility for Battlefield 4 in Origin.
6. Reinstalled the entire game (fixed nothing)
7. Wondered why you guys can't have this stuff fixed before your release content from Beta or can't run the game on several different set ups from different locations to find these MAJOR bugs that obviously had to have been discovered before you released the content. WTH?
I have found no reassurances from EA staff that they are working to fix this problem and there has been a plenty of time to do so thus far. You guys should be working around the clock to fix this game even if you have to put off your BF Hardline and here is why. NO ONE is going to buy another broken game of yours if you can't even fix or have smooth running games that are already out (and have been out for SEVERAL months.)
Finally if this problem is not fixed promptly without spending several more hours of my free time when I am not at work (I work in tech support so I HATE that I have to come home and do MORE tech support) to fix it. I would like a full refund of my purchase so I can go spend my hard earned money on a game and company that actually deserve it.
So windows is NOT the issue good :womanhappy: Now some of this you have done but recheck it again and do it all as much as a pain as it is we need to fix this for you so you dont smash your head on your desk anymore :womanhappy:
Run the game as Administrator:
Go to the Origin games folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 4) and find Bf4.exe. Right click it and go to PROPERTIES, then COMPATIBILITY and check the box next to RUN THIS PROGRAM AS ADMINISTRATOR.
Do the same with BF4_x86.exe as well.

4- Hit apply and test you BF4Test BF4
If all this fails to fix it then try this...
BF4 folder in my documents holds game configs and screen shots even if BF4 is installed on different drive. When you uninstall BF4 it does NOT remove this folder. So when you install the game again you can still have the same issues.
1- Go to my Documents and remove BF4 folder place it on your Desktop or trash.
2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again.
3-Repair BF4
4- When done go test your game.==============================================================
This part it just cant hurt to update/ make sure its up to date...

Others have said if they uninstall MSI Afterburner issues / crashing is stopped. So if you have this installed remove program and test BF4. Also look at other programs as Fraps, Geforce experience ,Raptr, ASRock eXtreme Tuner and xfire are known to make issues as well now :/
If you have a Geforce ... Uninstall the HD Audio Driver from the video card driver install add/remove programs. This silly thing makes issues in BF4 for some. Reboot then repair BF4 to be safe.
