ea javelin anticheat causes PC to freeze

anyone else having this issue? I recently had a tiny update to BF1 to download (like 50mb) and ever since then, my whole PC will freeze right as the progress bar indicates its opening EA javelin anticheat.

I've tried all the solutions I've seen online: reinstalling the game, repairing files, disabling overlay, refreshing bios, closing all background apps, etc. but I feel like I'm out of options at this point. Is this something EA has to fix on their end?

My pc specs are

Ryzen 5 7500f

Nvidia 4060ti
