[Edit - Admin.] help fix my problem. Origin games never install and more.

I will pay someone if they are dedicated enough to help fix my PC.

I've had this problem since 2014, 2 years ago I bought Battlefield 3 and I had the same problem and Origin couldn't help me with it so they gave me a refund. I've got a new setup since then, every part new and different and it does the same thing with Battlefield 1... When I click Install a CMD box appears for a split second nothing inside then nothing happens. I check Processes and I see "vcredist_64,vcredist_64, EAProxyInstaller_ TouchUp" that was yesterday, right now that does not even come up anymore I just see a flash CMD box appears and it says in there "ERROR: Invalid Syntax: Type "REG Export /?" for usage"

2 yeasr ago and onwards i wiped my computer multiple times, tried and failed, changed parts and still failed. Now i have a totally new rig and STILL FAILED. I don't understand what is going on.

This not only happens with Origin games but with Steam games and programs. They seem to break 1 day later i have to verify integrity game cache every few days or daily.

I have never seen this happen to anyone i know anywhere around the world and it's been going on my whole gaming life and origin for last 2 years. Paths don't get created or somthing i don't know.

This seems to be the problem.. I have moved the cleanup.exe manually into the common files and yet it still says the same thing in the log.

  • My guess would be that you have some application/service running that is causing issues.

    1. Try downloading the installer for Origin again from Origin.com
    2. Do a manual uninstall of Origin - https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/origin/origin/manually-uninstalling-origin
    3. Scan harddrives for errors - http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/guide-to-using-check-disk-in-windows-vista/
    4. (optional) Consider cleaning the computer registry with a tool like ccleaner - http://filehippo.com/download_ccleaner
    5. Prepare for installation by doing a clean boot - https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/FAQ/how-to-clean-boot-your-pc/
    6. Install and run Origin by right clicking the installer/shortcut and clicking run as administrator:

  • Did that and I still get the same ERROR.

    16:59:20  ERROR: Failed to copy C:\Program\__Installer\Cleanup.exe to C:\Program Files\Common Files\EAInstaller\Battlefield 1\Cleanup.exe.

  • Hi,

U mention U have reinstalled windows, so all I can think of is that there must be a hard ware issue carried from hardware U might not have changed?

Can I ask did you change ram and hard drive, if not, check hard drive with seatools , doesn't matter if U dont have a Seagate drive any failures, change drive. Then use memtest from memtest.org it creates a bootable USB that checks ram, get one of the older versions, anything red means a bad stick of ram (newer version is less obvious)

I did all of that and there is nothing wrong with my Seagate drives and my RAM I use.

When I was in the process of trying to get my Windows 7 to update last week or so I had to wipe multiple times to test hotfixes, I tried Origin battlefield 1 inbetween for the sake of it to see if it works or not and it did work once, It managed to get past that error and I could play, but fullscreen was flashing black and back to game really fast, so I tried fixes and it ended up not working at all, it was just at the bottom of the process list idling.

I don't want to constantly wipe to hope to get BF1 working.
