All bios settings @ optimised defaults except Onboard HD audio DISABLED
Latest Intel chipset drivers

Nvidia drivers 331.65 (latest) uninstalled 3d, hd audio etc
GTX580 1.5GB Vram running at mostly low settings with fluff disabled or off (motion blur, weapon DOF etc).
FOV 90

ERROR SYMPTOMS

After upto 2 - 10 minutes of smooth gameplay, I start seeing other players on the same server run on the spot with some intermittent rubber banding. Then the game disconnects with a black save screen and I am returned to BL with the following error (see attached image):

ERROR - GAME DISCONNECTED: SOMETHING WENT WRONG

After some research, this doesn't appear to be the same error others are getting and its usually just me that gets disconnected (other players on Teamspeak with me on the same server are fine) so its not a server crash although that has happened too.

Its also NOT the audio loop crash as audio is fine (and not looping) when this happens. I have also experienced the audio loop crash so I know its not the same thing. With that you have to hard exit the game.

It almost feels like a PunkBuster disconnect but PunkBuster is updated and Pbsvc reports it working fine.

I have also got this disconnect on an empty server so I do not believe it is related to high player counts either.

Hoping this will be resolved soon as I played in the Alpha & beta without this issue and pre-ordered on that basis.

Will update if & when I find a solution.

After much hassle of trying to work out what was causing this, I noticed I would sometimes get disconnected from TeamSpeak at the same time as the game.

SO I started analysing my network with pingtest.net etc and saw that I had unusually high latency issues and line jitter. I have run these tests before so I knew that the figures I was seeing were unusual and off.

I called my ISP (VirginMedia) and got them to run some tests from their end and they confirmed that my router power levels were a bit off so they arranged for an engineer to visit.

A day later and the engineer replaced my superhub with a newer model and the issue has now gone away, no more being dropped out of game for no apparent reason.
