Error 0xc0000005
Anyone else getting Application Error 0xc0000005??
@ChangoTegin ok so we know it should not be from windows now. I did more reading on this error on toms hardware and it can be from anything from bad windows, bad driver and even a virus on the PC :/ Just to be safe run your Virus scan to rule it out but in truth I am thinking after a virus scan you could just have a bad install of origin and this is a easy fix without losing your games. Edit... Other info I found on this error is from a windows update but they do not say what one :/ And you can set PC back to a time when you did not get this error if you have this on your PC. Very strange error as it can be due to so many different things with some luck the fix is below if not we will keep working on it.
So after you run a virus scan just to rule out a bug on your PC do this to see if it will fix it please....
Origin Download the latest here: http://origin.com/download
Uninstall Origin NOT your games just origin...
1. Uninstall Origin completely from Windows Control Panel.
2. Reboot your PC. This is important to clear out any lingering registry files or directories.
3. Download the latest Origin here: http://origin.com/download
4. Install Origin You should not be prompted to update.
Reboot PC Then test BF4EDIT.... If this fails to fix it then try this for settings and if need be BF4 cfg as it could be mucked up from all this ....
Disable Origin in game:
In Origin - Application settings - Origin in Game - disable Origin in game
Origin Cloud Storage turn it off
Origin, settings, General
Make Sure BF4 is set to 64bit if your windows is 64bit
1- open origin and go to My Games
2-Right click BF4 and go to Game Properties
3-Under when launching this game set it to x64 and check off disable origin in game.
4- Hit apply REBOOT your PC and then test your BF4
If all this fails to fix it then try this...C:\Users\your PC Name\Documents\Battlefield 4
BF4 folder in my documents holds game configs and screen shots even if BF4 is installed on different drive. When you uninstall BF4 it does NOT remove this folder. So when you install the game again you can still have the same issues. Even if its not a new install it is still worth trying as the game cfg could be mucked up.
1- Go to my Documents and remove BF4 folder place it on your Desktop for now.
2- Be warned you do have to set up your in game settings again.
3-Repair BF4
4- When done go test your game. If it fails reboot your PC and run repair game again and test BF4.
