I downloaded Battlefield 3 today and I'm trying to install it with Origin. Whenver I get to 90% the installation stops and gives me the error code 131086:262149. What do I do?
The file you mention is not there however there is a file that says "installerdata" which I am assuming is the same thing. I am using windows 8 64 pro and have heard that origin may have compatability issues with win 8, just an FYI.
I tried to post the log but I cant exceed 20,000 characters? This is the last half of the log that I could fit.

Unfortunately, that file doesn't help much with this error message. Windows 8 shouldn't be a problem either, even though it's not officially supported, Origin should work without major hiccups, it's working perfectly fine for me at home.
Can you please make sure that Origin is running with administrative rights, to do so, right-click the Origin shortcut on your desktop and select Run as Administrator.
Yes I have tried that already.
I am not sure if this could be a source of the issue, but I downloaded this game off Uplay, and in order to start the install I have to start it through Uplay and then it transfers over to Origin, otherwise Origin wants me to redownload the whole file, so I don't know if that is an issue and perhaps I need to redownload entirely through Origin? I am out of ideas.
That's good to know, can you start Uplay via a right-click -> Run as administrator please and try again. On a computer every process (program) has a parent process from which it inherits its priviledges, in this case Uplay is launching Origin and if Uplay is missing some priviledges, Origin will be missing them as well which could lead to this error message.
If that doesn't help either and Battlefield is showing up in your games library in Origin, then please try installing if from Origin directly.
Hope any of this works for you.
