Error saying "Requires additional expansion pack" when joining B2K maps

Hello there,

I bought BF3 Limited Edition a few years ago and never had problems playing B2K maps online. Recently it started complaining that it requires an additional expansion pack, which obviously I have [it says "unlocked" on Origin; no option to download an extra content]. I tried to update and then fix the installation, but it didn't help.

A cursory look at the forum yields many similar problems, but no official answer or fix.

How can I get to play B2K again? Please share the fix so others could use it.

Thanks; I did communicate this issue through a chat with an agent.
He suggested to exit Origin, clear Origin's cache [see instructions here] and then re-open it.
He probably did something on his end as well, since BF3 appeared as a new game in my library.
After that, I was able to play B2K maps online again.
