I know a few folks have reported it, and I have read some folks (not moderators) comment on it, but without a resolution.
Old PS3 160 gb
premium, all maps
Nat type 2
hard wired to wireless router which is hard wired to ISP modem/router
connect to PSN no problems
9.3mb down, 1mb up
In eastern US with that as only region selected.
Here is my detailed account.
5-6 days ago, everything was fine. Could connect to a friend and any all servers. Quick launch worked.
Changed the voice settings to team from squad, but that shouldn't mean diddly.
Next day:
Cannot connect to ay server my friend is in.
Cannot use quick connect 95% of the time for most modes, never for conquest.
It gives me the Failed to connect....check internet settings message.
I can connect if I choose a server a friend is not in from the server browser with 40-50% regularity.
Server browser shows all games are 23/24 players regardless, I can pop in and it have 12.
frequent drops from session, however no "lost connection to EA" so yay for that, I guess.
any thoughts? Need more info? Have any info?

I just made a post about this .. My PS3 server that I have been renting since this RENT A SERVER started .. no one in my platoon can join this is not good business We want to know what you are going to do, we spend our hard earned money to rent your servers to play this game .. I am not renewing my lease until this issue is resolved.. Good luck to you other owners out there having the same issues ..

Same issue. Started on friday. Seems to be completely random. I could join my own server last night, on the second try. Tonight, one friend out of four could join, the other three couldn't. We had to play on a server we aren't even paying for while others played on that server instead. Sometimes one of us can join a server and others can't. We'll find a new server after that and the roles are reversed. Seems to coincide with server maintenance that happened on the 28th.
I know EA is aware of the issue, and understandably it can take time to fix....but at least acknowledge that there IS an issue!

EA needs to get in and talk to the migration of servers and caused other problems that led few days to normalize. so far have no information correct EA still can not play on the server I'm paying. I love BF3 and never complained of the costs that the game takes the player to spend more runs out of play due to an error I did not commit and still nobody's getting harder just an excuse. this migration of the servers should be more moderate and accompanied by someone who can be sure of doing that, does not help some and hurt whoever was ok thanks EA
