Same issue. Started on friday. Seems to be completely random. I could join my own server last night, on the second try. Tonight, one friend out of four could join, the other three couldn't. We had to play on a server we aren't even paying for while others played on that server instead. Sometimes one of us can join a server and others can't. We'll find a new server after that and the roles are reversed. Seems to coincide with server maintenance that happened on the 28th.
I know EA is aware of the issue, and understandably it can take time to fix....but at least acknowledge that there IS an issue!
EA needs to get in and talk to the migration of servers and caused other problems that led few days to normalize. so far have no information correct EA still can not play on the server I'm paying. I love BF3 and never complained of the costs that the game takes the player to spend more runs out of play due to an error I did not commit and still nobody's getting harder just an excuse. this migration of the servers should be more moderate and accompanied by someone who can be sure of doing that, does not help some and hurt whoever was ok thanks EA

Same - for almost a week my US East Coast server in unuseable - no issues connecting to my EU rented server.
There is nothing wrong with my router, internet connection etc.
Contacted EA advisor who gave me a case number but I need Skype or such to contact USA help (I am in UK) and cant install that on works PC.
Would like to know when this is fixed I will get some free rental added to my server. Lots of people have this issue, it is all over battlelog.

KuroWHY is this supposedly the CUSTOMERS' fault?? This is the SECOND message saying the SAME thing from *2 DIFFERENT* agents!
Seriously, we'vbe told you that NOTHING HAS CHANGED ON OUR ENDS, yet you keep telling us to change/check/restart OUR modems?? This is passing the buck at its worst! We've told you that everything seemed fine, before EA announced the server migrations and the closing of the South servers, and yet here we are.
These issue with the EA SERVERS are making this EXTREMELY difficult to deal with, and making the game almost unplayable. I can assure you that the majority of us LOVE Battlefield as a whole, and have spent WAY over $100 on BF3 ALONE! Getting a least SOME response other than, "Check your settings and modems/routers for issues" is just lame.
PLEASE answer us and let us know WHAT might be going on, or even tell us, "We at EA are not sure of the issue but, rest assured, we ARE at least trying to figure out the cause and trying to resolve the issue as quickly as possible."
LIE TO ME! LOL But don't blame US when WE have done nothing to change our settings or connections on the customer/gamer side.
