Faulty Error Message regarding my Graphics Card

When attempting to launch the Campaign mode for BF3, i get the error message saying that my graphics card doesnt support DX10.1 when i have DX11 installed (Shown in screenshot). I am unsure on what to do now, as ive done all i know to do, and my graphics card isnt AMD or NVIDIA, in which confuses me as well. Please help so that i can play BF3 on my current system!

NOTE: if you cannot read the text in the picture, please let me know so that i can fix it.

There is a difference between having a GPU physically able to support Dx 10, and the Direct3D API set you have installed.  It is the hardware that counts, not the software.

How do i figure out what Direct3D API set i have installed, guessing thats what you meant? Im sorry, im somewhat new to the PC gaming platform

Direct 3D versions are identified by Dx9, Dx10, Dx11 references, but are the least important aspect.  Only the physical add-on graphics card counts.

Ah, thanks for reminding me, apologies.. I've been kinda busy so its kinda hard to keep up with everything.. Lol

So what exactly would it run me, to get a new GPU that would run games like bf3, 4, and games like them? Also, how easy would be the new installation of the GPU?

In a desktop PC, the actual physical procedure is quite simple.  Far more of a problem is matching the new GPU with a power supply that provides sufficient current to keep it running.  That part gets complicated.

The average PC these days is not a desktop, and the design of a laptop makes graphics upgrades impossible

GRAPHICS CARD (AMD): DirectX 10.1 compatible with 512 MB RAM (ATI Radeon 3000, 4000, 5000 or 6000 series, with ATI Radeon 3870 or higher performance)
GRAPHICS CARD (NVIDIA): DirectX 10.0 compatible with 512 MB RAM (NVIDIA GeForce 8, 9, 200, 300, 400 or 500 series with NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT or higher performance)
    SOUND CARD: DirectX 10 Compatible

The actual examples of the minimum performance level are no longer available as new products, however the performance they offered has been recorded for comparison at places such as GPU Boss & GPU Review.

That way, we learn that the Geforce GT 640 is close to equal to the Geforce 9800 GT, just below where it needs to be, whil;e the GT 650 is higher level than the 9800 by a comfortable margin.

So that's where I get confused on compatibility, do I have to have an nvidia or amd? Because although I don't have one of those, the one I have is directx 11 compatible, which I would think counts 10.1 and 10 unless there's something I'm misunderstanding?

Other than the two real graphics producers, no one else, especially not Intel, has anything with adequate performance, no matter what the DxDirect version, sorry.  I only gave you a Geforce reference because those are comparatively popular.

I don't recall, and haven't reviewed, above, whether you have a proper PC platform or only a laptop.  A real PC, desktop type, can be upgraded with a games-capable GPU, and matching power supply.  You never asked for upgrade suggestions.
