Game disconnected: Client closed down connection make sure...port 3659 is open.

Agreed - same issue.  I have never had a connectivity issue until the most recent patch.  It gives this error after locking up during play, going to the transition screen, and then exiting to Battlelog.

It is an infuriating error.

Agreed, clearly not an actual port issue since I've tried smart port forwarding, disabling firewalls, manually opening on router, etc.

It had something to do with their patch and seems to affect a small but sizable portion of players based on comments I've seen here, the BF forums, and reddit BF forums.

Same problem here since the latest patch. I've tried numerous fixes including the port forwarding and nothing seems to work.

Sometimes the game will lock up for about 10 seconds and then it'll resume and I can continue but 9/10 times it locks up completely and sends me back to battle log with the 3659 error. 

Really really frustrating as i've just started getting back into BF4 after a bit of a break and I had no problems up to this point.

Same problem here. And I tried opening up the port but that doesn't fix it. Generally after I go back to the game after getting disconnected I can play for a good long while but it's still frustrating.

For Battlefield on PC, please enable the following online ports on your connection:

TCP: 80, 443, 9988, 20000-20100, 22990, 17502, 42127
UDP: 3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300

For specific instructions on how to open your ports, please visit http://www.portforward.com/ or contact your router manufacturer.

Same problem. This is the first game crashing bug I've had for BF4.

Started post spring patch.

does anyone else that is getting this error after the spring patch have a service running like a vpn or something like unblockus?

I also have this exact same issue. I can rarely make it through one game without the screen freezing for approx. 10 seconds, then the transition screen, then disconnecting and giving the port forwarding error. I can play Hardline just fine, or BF3 just fine, but not BF4 immediately after the spring patch. No lack of hardware or working GPU drivers on my end, as well as proper port forwarding. Something in the Spring patch jacked my game and broke it. Please investigate this EA and provide a solution or a fix for your latest "fix". It is extremely annoying not being able to play a game I payed $110 for.
