Solved

Game disconnected: you are missing content from the game.

That is the error I get when I try to join a naval strike or second assault server.

The game starts up. First the black screen and normally then the map should load but it exits and I have that error in battlelog.

I am a premium user and have played both DLC before.

Been in contact with EA chat twice and had my second chat directed to an E-mail specialist. Which pointed at me doing things I have already done several times: Uninstall the web plugin, reinstall the game. Still did them again but still nothing.

So before I contact EA chat again I thought I also make a post here. So I can also link this in chat.

Things I have tried:

Uninstalled the game.

Uninstalled origin.

Uninstalled the browser plugin.

Manually deleted some leftover folders of origin in programdata and appdata local and roaming folders.

Check the registry at: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\EA Games\Battlefield 4 if those where removed.

Did a cleanup of my system with CCleaner. Cleaned the browser fully and the registry.

Then reinstalled everything. Downloaded everything new. After reinstalling checked the same registry settings if XPACK0 and XPACK2 are present and have the string value 'installed' and set to 'true'.

Reinstalled the web plugin.

Did a PB update with both pbsetup.exe and pbsvc.exe.

Also did repair installs of the game and the DLC's.

All of that did not resolve it. Above things I at least did twice.

Tried different browsers. Also installed the game on a second PC and still the same error.

Checked my game file size. Which is 39.7GB. XPACK0 is 5.33GB and XPACK2 is 4.96GB. Same as my other online friends have.

So at this point I am sure there is nothing wrong with my installation. The base game and china rising work fine. It is just those 2 DLC's. My guess is the game checks my account when it starts and something is wrong there. To bad I cannot check that in some way.

  • Problem is solved thanks to EA chat.

They disabled my old Naval Strike and Second Assault access files, and then replaced them with new ones.

Then I did a repair install and it worked. I can access both DLC's again.

I hope this thread might help someone else in the future.
