game wont start

I own the standard edition of Battlefield 4 on EA play. I redownloaded the game today and it is saying I need EA play when I try to launch the game, even though it says I own it. Why? If I can't play it I want a refund for the amount I paid for it at the time.

    Hey there,

The system is probably trying to launch the EA Play version and not the Standard edition.

Can you please try uninstalling the game and make sure all the DLCs are also uninstalled? You can use Ccleaner to uninstall to make sure all files are removed during the process:

For instructions on how to use Ccleaner to uninstall apps, click here.

While we suggest using CCleaner, EA does not provide user support for this program–use it at your own risk. Please follow any installation guides straight from CCleaner when installing and performing program set-up. You can find help on CCleaner’s support page.

Once the game is uninstalled, restart your device, and clear the EA app's cache: Clear cache to fix your game download or upload

Now you can reinstall the game and hopefully the issue will be fixed.

It's definitely not that, as this is a fresh windows install, installed it today and wanted to try out bf4 on it.
