Getting from login to playing a game is too damn slow by far.

Thanks for the post/feedback. I can't say that I've had problems with this, but that doesn't dismiss your experience. I generally prefer the smaller modes when I'm not playing with a group. 

Perhaps if you build up a solid list of favourite servers that'll help?

It's probably not a factor, but perhaps checking your regional filter settings will help? Maybe opening up some more regions will help, depending on your location.
