I am having a simillar problem. I bought Limited edition with premium, installed all the DLCS.. everything in origin is "installed" except the B2K (I get, that it is included in the Limited edition, so that should be OK).... my problem is, that I can play normal BF3 maps.. but not the DLCs... anytime I click on join the server with any DLC, the window pops up and say, that I need an additional extension. I guess, it is the same problem as you have solved here. I am kinda desperate, because we bought it with my brother (wanted to remember the old times... He is able to play and I am not.. we even checked the Xpack1 - Xpack5 files, He gave me Xpack5, because mine was about 300mb smaller and I could not see it as installed in Origin.. Everything is okay and Origin says, that it is installed... but I still cant play DLCs... can you help me out? Thank you very much.

DICE TeamHey, @Makla114 try reinstalling Origin. Sounds like a download that went wrong.
@GanoesParan19 what error are you getting, while trying to play B2K?

When you right-click on the game in Origin and view the game details do you see Back to Karkand available to install?
It's "unlocked" but I don't see any installation options..
i have the same issuse i have battlefield 3 premium edition in origin it says that i dont have it but in the battlelog it says that i own it and im pretty sure i bough it

Ok in a nutshell. My Battlefield 3 stopped working.
Fired up Origin, click play.... Not working.
Removed and Uninstalled BF3 and Origin
Then reinstalled Both
Not working
Ok got help from tech support to do like everyone said...."Have them remove BF3 and Back To Karkand" from account and then re-add them to account" We did this twice, once removing just Back to Karkand and re-adding it, and then removing Back to Karkand and BF3 and readding it, also did try removing BF3 and Back to Karkand and readded in that order.... NONE OF THIS WORKED FOR ME....
Ok so me being me.... I don't give up easy 😉
I attempted all kinds of fixes ALOT !!!!
My workaround which sucks but works for me...
Reboot your PC and start Origin.
Origin Started
Does BF3 show "Details" or "Play"
If Details Then shut down Origin and go into Task Manager and Shut down Origin Web Helper.
Else If "Play" Button Shows Goto "Do this"
Restart Origin again, should see "Play" Button this time...hopefully.
If not go into your BF3 folder and find the BF3.exe and double click it.
You should now see "Play" instead of "Details" If not redo the Origin Shut down / Restart boogie again....
Ok If for some reason that didn't work.... Start your web browser and go to the Battlelog for BF3.
Find a Server you want to play..
Click join.......fail.... Disconnect and close browser again. Then check and see if origin is showing the play button yet.
Ok by now, you should have somehow gotten that stupid button to work..... BUT DON'T CLICK IT.
Do this:
Once you you have the play button showing in origin, but don't click it.
Open the browser, I use Google Chrome.
Start the Battlelog for BF3
Find your server....
Attempt to join... If this works for you great, but most of us are still screwed at this point.
Once failed, check and see if origin is showing you the "Back To Karkand" is required Prompt. If so...
Shut Down Origin and the Task Manager Origin Web Helper too.
Go back into the Browser and attempt to join the sever again, but this time once you click the join button, wait like 2 seconds maybe, and start Origin again.
This time, if timing was right. You should have successfully joined your server.
I have done this several times with massive success, and once I've done it once. I don't have the problem again until next reboot.
Hope this makes sense to someone and hopefully helps others with this same problem.

Hello @EA_Atic, I have the same problem, I have Battlefield 3 premium, I just re-installed Battlefield 3 but now when I try to join servers that contain Back to Karkand content I get a popup that says I need the Back to Karkand expansion.
I have tried about 10 times to raise the issue with EA support but EA seems determined that I won't be allowed to raise a request. I tried the live chat support contact first (about 4 or 5 times) and got to the part where it says 'Please wait for an advisor in the popup chat window' only there is no popup chat window, none appears. I then tried the email contact to raise a request, which went through but then I get an email saying that EA wants me to have a call with them, but when I click on the link to go set up a call I just get a blank page. So I am unable to make contact with an EA advisor with any of the methods via the official support.
If you or anyone else could sort my account out for me it would be much appreciated.
