Hdr mode will not turn off

After the new update for battlefield. Hdr automatically comes on and there no button to turn it off
  • Ah, sorry, I was defaulting to PC since you didn't say specifically were on a console, haha ~ On PC you can indeed disable it.

Yeah, on PS4, you could try and go to the PS4's settings themselves at Settings -> Sound and Screen -> Video Output Settings. There you see the HDR and Deep Color settings. Switch the HDR there to Off and that should probably help with it. At least I'd assume it should.

  • Hey there @merk122

If you do not like the extra contrast given and all that by the HDR, when you are on the Battlefield 1's menu, click More -> Options -> Video -> Advanced (located on top). There the top-most option is "High Dynamic Range" which stands for HDR. Simply switch this from "Auto" to "Off" and your HDR will be disabled.

Thanks for the suggestions but when I go to video in the options menu there is no advance option. It just says hdr and I can either calibrate the screen or rest the screen. I play on PlayStation.

@merk122, I have also been looking for an option to switch off HDR, but unfortunately it seems that there is no such option on PS4 yet.

So I tried to calibrate it, looks OK now.

I think HDR isn´t that bad, I´m slowly getting used to it.

The PS4 itself has a HDR option in the display settings, maybe that could work for BF1?

Okay it's both good and bad to know that I'm not the only one having this problem, thanks

Yeah thanks it worked. Another person was having the same problem and told me to do the same, but again thanks for your help.
  • On my PC, when I launch BF1,  HDR comes on even though I've turned it off in settings.

    This is super annoying.

  • This is still a problem for me too, I have a HDR capable monitor with the option turned off as well as HDR turned off in Windows.
Setting HDR to off in the game settings doesn't work for me though. This is the only game so far I've had this issue.

@_np7YT Please feel free to create a new thread for the problem you're experiencing, this one is from 2017 so I'm going to lock it.
