How can I disable my Logitech G27 in Battlefield 3

When I play BF3, my character automatically looks up. I do not touch my steering wheel at all and this happens. I also found that fully pressing my accelerator in makes my character look down, and releasing the pedal fully makes him look up.

The only way to stop this is by pressing the throttle midway or by unplugging it from my pc. But im not keen on crawling behind my desk to unplug the G27 everytime just to play BF3.

Is there a setting to disable the wheel from detection in BF3?

  • I believe the following will work:

Go into the following menu and droubleclick --> then hold escape for 1½ second on all the settings belonging to joystick to clear those settings. The Axis ones are the most important.

  • Thanks that worked! But I had to imporvise on your solution a bit.

If I went to the keybindings menu and doubleclicked a setting, it would automatically assign the pedal axis because even though the pedal was depressed, it already was registering an action (eg, it had to be pressed halfway to not register any action)

So what I did was press and hold ESC to go to the menu initially. While still having ESC pressed down I navigated to the keybindings menu and double clicked each joystick keybind. And instead of the pedal coming up first, the ESC to clear menu came up, and automatically erased after 1½ seconds. Easy peasy.

    Cheers
