How to set battlefield 3 install location

Hi all,

I just bought a cd key for battlefield 3 off keymbo and went to download it from origin.

I set it downloading overnight, and now (this morning) it's downloaded and installed to my C drive which is almost full.

How can I set it to download to D drive instead?... and am I going to have to download the entire thing all over again?

Thanks!

  • Hello,

There is an option in Origin to choose the destination for all the Origin games, change that location to D drive (disk). But i suggest to leave your installation to the main C disk🙂 If you able move some data or what you can to the D disk and install bf3 into C

  • thanks, i uninstalled it then installed it again to D drive. Still had lots of problems though (discussed in my other thread) and I still can't get it to work.

I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling origin in my troubleshooting efforts, and found that once origin is installed to a different disc that becomes the default location for new games to be installed to as well.

Otherwise the option is found by clicking the 'origin' drop down menu up the top, then 'application settings' then 'advanced' then you can set the default install location
