How to use Xbox One chatpad in battlefield 1

Hi i just bought a chatpad for my xbox one controller. Would i be able to use the chatpad for text chat in Battlefield 1 (although i can communicate via mic)? Could you provide the steps by which i can use my chatpad? I have tried in applications like Youtube.

    Hello @jolteonrey1802

    If you mean "In- game text chat", then it is not available for Battlefield 1 on console. Perhaps it will be added in the next updates.
