I Upgraded from Dial Up but My Ping Stayed the Same

Hey Guys. I purchased BF3 global keys for game and all DLC. I played maybe 2 hours on German servers and although the town I live in is settled by the Germans, I still get 280+ ping on all of their servers!!! Sometimes I get lucky and a US server with 230 ping has over 15 players on it, but other than that the game is unplayable. Literally unplayable. This isn't even a game it's a placeholder on my hard drive while I figure out how to eat EA's arse and have them not scream for help. Why oh why did I light fire to $30, that is three dinners worth of food, I had to hunt a kangaroo with a bow and arrow and skin it with my hands and a knife to feed my brother and single mother. I would rather donate to a CSGO case opening stream. Jurassic Park had dinosaurs but your servers are the real deal. Don't listen to what anyone else says about this game, it's pay to win as in you needed a high end PC when it first came out to have a chance, if you started today you would have to grind a .2 KDR for 100 games before you unlock the SMAW. Imagine waking up from a broken wrist surgery to realise you felt everything the surgeons were doing to you, that's what playing this game looks like. The bleak grey walls of concrete will haunt me as I try to figure out which way is up again because they're everywhere. BF3 is a concrete simulator and nothing more and it comes at a hefty price of hiring a server or buying a house in a foreign country. You may as well add the ray-gun to the next update because the game literally sucks more than Call of Duty and they give theirs away for free. After selling my PS4 with BF4 because the sub price was too high I really thought I would treat myself by coming back to something a little more hardware friendly. The whole point of saving money backfired, and it's nobody's fault but yours for promoting streamers who blindly promote this game. My mate with new hardware can hardly run your new game. I guess I should've waited too see how it panned out before I bought one of your other "iconic" titles. I don't hate you guys/gals... I'm just really really disappointed. God must love you reading this because you're going to reply some copy-pasta-scrub-bot nerd garbage that ticks all of the corporate boxes outlying what makes a trustful company. You are dead to me because it will be another five years before the next BF title comes out and you'll probably name it BF Ten or something because you need at least a ten core processor to run it at low...

  • all of that and you didnt even state WHERE you are.

a town settled by the Germans could mean anywhere

a really useful thing for you will be paragraphs

walls of text might be good for filling space, but they're bloody awful to read

It's not the servers, its your location/routing

  • @Bl4ckM4n22 Battlefield has been having issues with servers lately, and depending on where the servers you are trying to play on are located as well as if that server provider is being hit at the time your ping will fluctuate wildly. Normally I have a 20 ping playing battlefield but my ping and the pings of my domestic friends shot up to 193ms consistently last night while playing another Battlefield title.

So you're saying if I told you I'm from South Australia you would be more likely to open a server near my location and stock it with local players/bots? That sounds unlikely but thanks for your time.
