Please tell us your hardware details (especially soundcard and videocard) and if this issue appears on specific game modes. Ok, thanks for that, play on any other mode and report back.Note to every one: The no sound bug, the 4 squares on the screen, the problems that some GTX 780 Ti users having with FPS, the new crashes and other errors and problems have been sent to DICE for investigation and they are working on them. For the proof go to Battlelog Forums.Everyone that has this problems, post your PC spec and dxdiag analysis reports and details on where this is happening and when it is happening (post as much details as possible). This is not only you. I have the same problem after today's update. I hear the background music and a few sounds only (e.g. grenades), but not e.g. gun fire and similar. I met several other players online that had the exact same problem.Hoping for a quick fix. That's very problematic. Everything worked perfectly before today.

Support Team, EA and DICE,Please give us an update. It has been about a week since this issue has been reported and all players have received was a "we are aware of the issue". I think players deserve a little more information at this point. EA / DICE PLEASE TELL US!-What is EA's brief summary of the reported issue? (This is so similar issues are not misreported in the same thread and so players understand that EA understands the problem) -What feedback does EA need from the players? (Does EA need more information from the players?)-What configurations does EA believe is affected by the reported problem? (This is so players with other configurations can reported the issue so EA can widen the scope of affected systems)-What does EA believe is causing this issue? (This is so EA can demonstrate to players that it has a technical understanding of the underlying issue)-What is the severity level? (How many players are affected and how high of a priority is this for EA?)-What fixes will need to be required to fix this issue? (Is this a server patch, player patch or infrastructure fix?)-What controls will be in place to prevent a similar event from occurring? (Show the players EA is learning from their mistakes and not just going to repeat them. Everyone makes mistakes, intelligent people learn from them)-When is this expected to be resolved or another official update/response to be given? (Updates with no progress on an issue are better than no update at all)Player Appreciation month will NOT make players forgive EA for past poor gaming experiences. I know EA works hard to enrich the player experience but sometimes we all need to be reminded. EA should take every bug and use it as an opportunity to demonstrate to the players how hard it works to give us the best experience possible. Hello there..
Every time I join a Server, since the Update,
I can only hear the Theme but no other sounds.
I asked a few other players and it turned out
I'm not the only one who has it.

Are you talking about as the game loads up ? There is only some sounds then everything comes in a little later almost like it takes time to catch up while loading ?... I also have this. My pc version doesnt do this but my 360 version does, usually the first sounds heard are the sounds of the ground while moving etc... regards ross.

OP on which platform are you playing BF4 and if on PC please post your PC Specs.

After patch, sound of steps/shoots/other affects disappear.But another sounds(from main menu, for example) are all right.
P.S.I'm from Russia, and so might have some mistakes in this message, sorry for it.

This happens to me on EVERY mulitiplayer match I join. It takes about a minute or so before all the sounds kick in.

Thanks for your information, we are aware of the issue and looking into it. Could you please tell us if you have this issue on every game mode or only on specific ones?

Played 2 games then a crash.. 1st game.. Weird sound bug.. No sounds at all, only a weird sound track (while playing).. 2nd game , i died then when i pressed deploy, i could hear myself get killed but only i see a black screen with the "loading square" on the top right then i did a restart.

DICE is aware of this and it is investigating it. Could you please try to play on another game mod and report back. Thanks for the feedback.
