Installed but not launching

Hi I have problem with playing Battlefield 4 because i bought and istalled the game on Steam and EA app doesnt recognise the game in my library. When i try to launch the game on Steam, EA app shows me announcement that the game is not installed on my computer. This error makes me crazy since and i tried many options to fix that but nothing helps.

For example i reinstalled the game and EA app 3 times or more and it didnt work, i tried application recovery from ea app setting but it didnt work too so i dont know what to do.

It would be perfect if someone helped me.

  • Hello @BenjaminToKox,

I understand how frustrating it must be to encounter this issue. Let's try to troubleshoot the problem step by step:

    1. Verify Game Files on Steam: Sometimes game files can become corrupted during installation. Right-click on Battlefield 4 in your Steam library, select "Properties," go to the "Local Files" tab, and click "Verify Integrity of Game Files." This will ensure that all game files are properly installed and not corrupted.

    2. Run Both Steam and EA App as Administrator: Right-click on the Steam shortcut and EA App shortcut, select "Run as administrator," and then try launching the game again. Running both programs with administrative privileges might help resolve any permission-related issues.

    3. Check Firewall and Antivirus Settings: Make sure that your firewall or antivirus software is not blocking either Steam or the EA App. Sometimes, security software can interfere with game launches. You may need to add exceptions for both programs in your firewall or antivirus settings.

    4. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause compatibility issues with games. Visit the website of your graphics card manufacturer (NVIDIA or AMD) to download and install the latest drivers.

    5. Check for System Updates: Make sure your operating system is up to date. Sometimes, system updates can fix compatibility issues with certain applications.

    6. Contact EA Support: If none of the above solutions work, it's best to reach out to EA Support for further assistance. They may have additional troubleshooting steps specific to Battlefield 4 and your setup.
