Premium does not cross over so you would have to buy premium on your ps4

@thematthew54l That's not correct.
You can transfer your stats and premium from PS3 to PS4. All you need to do is to log on to your PSN account on PS4 and a prompt will appear asking if you want to transfer your stats from PS3 to PS4.
However this is a one time only so you will need to be careful.

In conclusion, yes you can transfer your stats from PS3 to PS4.

There has to be more to your situation than that because I play BF4 on all 5 released platforms and am Premium on all 5 platforms and did the premium trasnfer for my PS4 and Xbox One without problem and without paying a single penny. PS3-PS4 has done this flawlessly since day one and I did my PS3-PS4 upgrade recently on 27 December 2014.
You mentioned you upgraded to Xbox One, did you go from Xbox 360 to Xbox One or PS3-Xbox One? Also please keep in mind that there was a dead zone for this offerl from around mid summer when the original Microsoft deal expired to when they renewed it in order to keep up with Sony's upgrade offer. If you did transfer from 360-One and you were made to pay I recommend that you contact Xbox Live customer support and see if they can credit your account since they brought back the free premium transfer offer. You can contact Xbox Live customer support at support.xbox.com
If you went PS3-Xbox One there is no free upgrade offer.
