Is the battlefield reddit moderated by EA or just random people?

Ahoy, was looking for a game recommendation as im quite out of the loop so I asked on reddit, my posted was deleted and when I ask why this was the response.

Are these random people moderating an official reddit or is it community based? I definitely wont be using the battlefield reddit ever again. 

No "discussion" posts are allowed and I was told "Go make your own decisions. You dont need to ask the world if you should play a game"
