Joystick wont map

Sup dudes. I have a thrustmaster hotas x and I just wanna use it in bf4. Maybe even bf 1. But every time I try to set a keybind, it doesn't register it. I already downloaded the drivers and the joystick works fine. But I can't seem to get the Realmware editor to map my controller. Whether it's in the game or in the editor it doesn't want to map my hotas. I dont know how to trouble shoot this and it seems no one else is having this problem so if somebody could please help me that would be very much appreciated. Please im dying out here.
