L96A1 8x-14x Zooming Issue [Images Included (Non-embeded)] [Evidence Provided]

Hello! I'm a very big fan of the L96A1 and I've noticed an issue when using the 8x scope with the 14x variable zoom. So far its the only Sniper Rifle which seems to have this problem so I believe it is unique to this weapon. The problem that happens every time is that when switching from the 8x zoom (which looks normal) to the 14x the circular clear interior of the scope zooms in as it should. However, in addition the black outer parts and the circular outline also zoom in, something no other weapon does (from what i've seen), and in turn it decreases the area that is visible. It almost seems to create an optical illusion that the 14x sight is the same zoom as the 8x sight. I have included images of what I mean and you can tell me if what im seeing is normal. And for any such reason that it may be my computer I will include specs:
