So I never unlocked laser painter for scout helo and it seems I can't use it as passanger after the patch. I just unlocked laser guided missile and that works, but when I get into the 4th seat in the scout and hit 2 for weapon change I get nothing. Is this a bug, what's going on?
If you haven't unlocked laser painter, you will not be able to use laser in the 4th seat. Just keep at it till you have unlocked it. However if you have unlocked it and it is still not working please contact EA support http://support.ea.com/
The score you need to reach is 40000 for the laser painter to unlock.

This I play this game so much I am ranked #6 in the world for hours played on xbox 360. I tell you this so you know my experience and knowledge level regarding the game and can take my advice accordingly.
If you have laser painter unlocked for scout helicopter you can get in the co-pilot seat of the scout chopper and at first you will have a cockpit view. Then on xbox 360 you move your thumbpad to the right and you will go into laser designation mode which works the same as the 3rd seat in MBT. If you pull your right trigger you will have night vision. Pull it again and standard vision. It is like soflam or the 3rd seat of a tank.
That is how you operate the designator and it does not require the driver have guided missles, nor do you have to have your laser designator equipped on any loadout settings. You must just have unlocked it as stated earlier in the posts. If the driver of the scout chopper has guided missles equipped you can engage targets as a team.
That is what I know from experience, It is new and I have not read about it. I just discovered it by playing.
