Levelution on a China Rising?

Hi EA / Dice,
I'm wondering where the promised Levelution is on the China Rising DLC? As far as I can see there is none, the game promoted heavily the fact that ALL maps would contain these game changing moments. I feel that these maps (although very nice) are more fitting to the BF3 game as the only new element was the bomber!

I hope you're addressing this and will be revealing a DLC update to give us what was promised (after you've fixed the game).

Any comments!

  • Levelution was never actively promoted for the China Rising DLC. It was not in the China Rising trailer, promotional material or anything like that.

It was "only" promoted heavily with the main game.

Levelution was unofficially revealed to have been planned for China Rising, but I guess it never got finished before they "had to" release it. There was a snowstorm and a sandstorm + some other stuff I believe.

I hope too that they will update the China Rising maps too, however they never, technically, promised anything for China Rising.

  • The producers promised that BF4 had Levelution on every map. Even the Second assault was released with it. They clearly did not deliver on this promise. Just because the expansion pack made no claim the games authors did when they introduced this element to the series. It's clearly not present and a such not as sold. The. Time issue is a cop out. They failed to deliver a finished product (which would have waited another 2 months for) and now have had to use too many resources to answer the backlash. I love Battlefield and the Dice teams efforts but I feel someone pushed for this release and is the sole reason for the games not delivering on its promises. I know what you're saying but the game clearly promotes Levelution in every map. That's a given that are DLC will also have these elements.

And BF4 had levelution on all maps when it was released.

Well, there is a  bit of levolution. It is the same as the Golmod Railway, the booms that can be triggered by the user. It  is not much but it is something, better something then nothing. Also, on Dragon Pass at one point rain starts to fall, not hard but it does. On Altai Range is the same, snow starts to fall at one point but not that hard. On Guilin Peeks also falls rain but you really have to look hard to see it.

If this helps, please click the white XP button and to give me some XP.

  • I'm not sold on weather effects being a substitute for the widely promoted game changing events of Levelution. It's a good point though that the the Railway was lacking in any true Levelution and that was a release map!

I'm sure Dice have more imagination than planting some detonators around a maps with explosives that do not change the landscape 😉
