Battlefield not recognizing joystick. The joystick buttons only work because i bind it to a keyboard key. I know some people whave gotten this to work with BF4 so any help would be appreciated. Windows recognizes the joystick, BF4 doesn't

Using a Logitech Extreme 3D PRO with newest available drivers. Joystick would calibrate properly within Logitech software, but noticed the following issues when trying to set keybindings in BF4 Beta:1) kept identifying forward and back y axis as rotation2) kept identifying left x axis as rotation3) would identify right x axis properly and would even change left x axis from rotation to x axis when doing so.4) Identified throttle control in keybindings, but used it as "fire" in-game5) Helicopter was simply unflyable because keybindings did not properly identify joystick operation With a joystick collumn in the keybinding settings, will there be a list of known compatible joysticks? same here with Thrustmaster.Trigger 1 and trigger 2 for throttle.Worst thing is that if I put the throttle all the way down (trigger 1), the jet won't respond to any command, only the rudder works (pointing the nose left or right).This prevent me to use the joystic, the game is unplayable with it. Please fix

i have posted here already and have heard NOTHING. Issues: #1 - the joystick is CRAP. i have the logitech extreme 3d pro which has a throttle slider control. it is mapped to speed of vehicle. when used, OR when i hold down SHIFT (turbo), the ZOOM kicks in! and it is almost impossible to 'un-zoom' it. even hitting the zoom key on keyboard does NOTHING! #2 - sometimes flying helis, (forget name, but the attitude setting is mapped to throttle slider), WITHOUT using this control, the OTHER controls just 'lock up'. i cannot turn nor rotate. #3 - in a flying vehicle, if i reduce the throttle slider to <50%, the controls GO DEAD. i can do NOTHING! no turns, rotates, etc....NOTHING till i go above 50% - note, it APPEARS it is at the 50% mark, i cannot tell exactly....sorry... ☹️ #4 - sound comes and goes on it's own. worst 'seems' to be parcel storm, but i am not 100% sure. #5 - very bad lag in multiple servers. might be my cpu, but i do not think so as others have also stated the same for them. this is in ALL maps #6 - when hitting the 'eject' button from a vehicle (flying/land), i must hit it about 5+ times to take effect. #7 - sometimes just driving with NO JOYSTICK being used, zoom comes and goes. and it can be almost impossible to 'fix' without exiting the vehicle and re-entering it AGAIN....but, 2 seconds later, there it goes again! DO NOTE - i have the SAME JOYSTICK set up the SAME WAY on BF3 as i do with BF4. I have NO ISSUES AT ALL in BF3. I also use this same joystick in ARMA 3 and have NO ISSUES. this is ALSO TRUE for the keyboard settings too.... this is a MAJOR problem in BF4 (at least to me) key do not respond properly and joystick routine is just CRAP! lag is not present on single player, but key/joystick problems do exist. ☹️

I'm using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick. All axes respond normally in the joystick applet in Control Panel (Win7x64).In game, under the Helo tab, I have the joystick's X axis set for yaw, but the axis seems inverted. Pushing the stick left yaws right, and vice versa. (I've yet to fly an actual, real-world helicopter, but I can't imagine this is how it works.)I've cleared every joystick bind in the game for each tab (infantry, vehicles, jets, etc.) and set up just Helo from scratch. I've tried the Realmware utility (which is very nice, highly recommend it), but there's no way to invert the X1 axis. I've disabled the cloud settings, just for kicks.It doesn't appear to be something as simple a just pushing the stick the opposite direction when binding this axis.I've tried inverting this axis in the Logitech profiler software, but as far as I can tell, the game simply ignores it.(For what it's worth, my XBox 360 controller exibits the same behavior with this axis.)I've seen many threads about joystick/controller issues, mainly about the freelook thing. I have yet to find anyone who has my issue and has had it resolved, but hopefully I'm just overlooking something.Is this a bug, or is this how it's supposed to behave?Thanks for the time, folks, and Merry Christmas.edit**It's now working. I went into the game, changed X axis from yaw to roll, and Z axis from roll to yaw. Worked fine then (pushing stick left would roll helo left, etc.) Changed axis binds back to the way I initially wanted them, and now it works. Stick left yaws left.Not sure what actually happened here, as I've done the same thing at least once before just a few hours ago. It's likely I was doing something wrong from the beginning and never did realize it.

I also own the Logitech Extreme 3D PRO and have loaded the newest available drivers. Still has the same issues with BF4... works great with BF2, BF3, and 2142... What's the deal? I pre-ordered BF5, and if joysticks won't work on that, it'll be my last EA game... Still upset that the command and conquer series has now also gone to *. Generals zero hour is still one of my favorite games, but can no longer play on windows 10 ☹️... anyways, I digress... Please fix the analog joystick guys... please.

I have a logitech extreme 3d pro, im trying to set the thotllr up woth the button but it shows as trigger so when i fly it shoots..also i cant set the pitch up/ down as it disapears..i tried editing a setting file i red but dint help...

Same here Sidewinder FF2 and rudder on low possition makes jets unresponsive to pitch and roll, only yaw works.
They haven't sorted out joystick problem in BC2 throughout its lifespan, I hope they do this time.
Button names are taken from Xbox controller scheme. BF3 had same issue which was not fixed.
And hat switch do not work. It was working on beta.

I am having the same issue, all of my joystick input is being read by the program very, very wrong. It says my throttle is a trigger, some of my triggers are an axis, and the yaw only reads in one direction.

My drivers and configurations are working in everything else, both the logitech software and microsoft sofware correctly read the input from this joystick.

I am having a problem where after the game loads my joystick is no longer centered. I have to pull back on the joystick in order to stay level or the whole aircraft just pitches back un controllably. What makes it even more odd is that sometimes it works just fine then the next day I am not able to fly again.

Why can't I bind certain keys on my keyboard? Specifically: Insert and Delete. My other key-binding issue is the Back-space key being permanantly binded to the Battlelog tab in the menu? Furthermore, that key (Back space) is also permanantly binded to Joystick 11 which also opens the Battlelog tab in the menue. I don't understand this because there are several tabs in the menue that seem just as important - six in all-Battlelog, Friends, Missions, Soldier, Reports and Leaderboards - Yet Battlelog is the only tab i've found to be 'perma-bound'. Puzzling. Joystick 11 is the one I use to exit air vehicles in a hurry. It is perfectly placed for my prefference. Insert and Delete, I always used hose keys for VOIP and Spot/Communicate respectively. Also, Ican bind Back space and Joystick 11 to whatever I choose (rightly so) and they are useless because when I exit the Flaming hulk of scrap, that was a stealth jet just a second earlier, I am now in a menue and I have to exit that menue to pull the ripcord on my parachute. SPLAT! Insert and Delete don't bind at all. It's as if they don't exhist. Does this make sense for some reason I'm unaware of? Does anyone else have any other weird key binding issues?

Not surprised to see no answers yet. My key binding issues are the least of EA's problems at the moment and most likely a problem they will never solve. This is what happens when you rush a game's release to coincide with the launch of the new consoles. It's the same reason all video games released at the same time as their movie tie-in's always seem to suck.
Still looking for an answer to my key binding question. Come on EA... Where are you?

This is a continuation of a question asked earlier, it was partially resolved, the issue was fixed for jets. However right now it still. is happening w/ helicopters. I was looking around and someone said to clear all joystick bindings for every section. i did that then rebound it, when i got to helicopters and tried to bind my throttle down(which it sees as trigger 1), it said it was already in use. i know it was not because the list was clear. The suggestions to go into the profsave file were unsuccessful at fixing the issue, ea's live chat is failing and i cannot find a way to fix this issue. If anyone has anyinformation other than what i have heard over and over again that doesn't work, plz help.
