Hello, was playing B4 on my Steamdeck using my deck as control and everything was working fine but suddenly my controls for the game just switched to Keyboard and mouse.
Controller settings are set to Gamepad + joystick in the game properties and the Overlay is Steamdeck by default. The proton option is on, yet I can not reverse the controls to my deck.
Any clues?
Try forcing the controller override: in Steam, go to Settings → Controller → General Controller Settings, ensure Steam Deck is recognized, then in the game’s properties set Controller Override → Enable Steam Input. Also check Proton version compatibility—switching to a different Proton build often resolves input issues. If it still sticks to keyboard/mouse, clearing Steam’s controller config cache or re‑applying a fresh layout usually restores Deck controls.
