Low FPS with good pc?

hello, I have an i5 10500H, RTX 3060 and 16gb ram, but only get around 60-80 FPS on bf1 regardless of graphics settings... is there anything I can do to fix this?

As you know, Battlefield 1 is an intensive CPU game which means that the game will use 100% of CPU or close to it most of the time. In this case, it looks like something is definitely taking up your CPU power while you're playing. When you are playing a match, open the Task Manager and take a look at the CPU usage and look for unnecessary programs that are taking up your CPU and end its process. It's good to run a full virus scan through Windows Security or by any trustworthy anti-virus software.

Try disabling DX12 if it's on and see if that work.

  • Hi @Raddooggie,

You can try these multiple solutions and see if that work:

    First solution:

Go to NVIDIA Control Panel and change PhysX from Auto to GPU.

    Second solution:

    Change Framerate Limiter in-game settings.

    1. Open Battlefield 1.
    2. Go to More.
    3. Click on Options.
    4. Select Video.
    5. Go to Advanced.
    6. Change the Framerate Limiter to 60 or 120 instead of unlimited.

Also, it's good to disable Vertical Sync as known as VSync in-game settings.

    Third solution:

Turn off Origin In Game for Battlefield 1 and for Origin, too.

    For Battlefield 1.

    1. Open Origin.
    2. Go to My Game Library.
    3. Right click on Battlefield 1.
    4. Select Game Properties.
    5. Untick the box Enable Origin In Game for Battlefield 1.

    Now for the Origin app.

    1. Open Origin.
    2. In the top left corner, click on Origin.
    3. Select Application Settings.
    4. Go to Origin In-Game.
    5. Disable Origin In-Game.

    Fourth solution:

    Spoiler
If you're using Discord and/or NVIDIA GeForce Experience, please disable the overlay on those.
  • I've already done all of these things and it hasn't changed anything
