Before you set up a static IP, go to your Console Network settings and click on "View Connection status" to see your current IP ect.

You need to remember the stats from "IP Address", "Subnet Mask", "Default Gateway" and the two "DNS" settings.

In the following steps you will all this stats the same again, just on the "IP Address" you have to check the last number. If you have for example "30" there or something, you can type this in manually again on one console. But on the other one make sure this last number is different! So for example you give the second console "31" then.

To set up a static IP for PS4 follw this steps:

    • Start from PS4 main menu
    • Go to Settings
    • Network
    • Set up internet connection
    • Use Wi-Fi
    • Custom
    • Choose your network
    • Now you can choose between "Automatic", "Manual" and "PPPoE" for the IP Address settings. Here you choose "Manual". Now you can manually type in a static IP Address for this console + the other things like Subnet Mask, Gateway ect.
    • After this "IP Address settings" step you finish the following steps as you usually did.

  • @UNHOLY_WRAITH_66 but if you join seperate servers it's working fine?

What if you try to connect one Console via a Hotspot you make with the phone, to have a seperated internet connection and try then to join the same server again.

To see if that makes a difference.

Maybe something on the BF4 servers changed safety wise or it's something from your internet provider/router.

@UNHOLY_WRAITH_66 what about the test i asked for, to connect via two seperate networks?

Try to connect a PS4 temporary via a Hotspot or so, just for testing if it works on the same server then.

Yeah if I connect on a Hotspot we both can play on the same server but only for a limited time cause hot spot is not forever kinda sucks need to figure out our options battlefield must have did somthing to not allow 2 people to play same game under same internet which is dumb

I know it's not forever, as i said it's just for testing.

So we know its either the BF4 servers not allowing two players connecting via the same IP range, or from like your network provider or the Router settings something that doesn't let two connect together.

    Hmm... 🤨

@UNHOLY_WRAITH_66 you'll need to set up static IP addresses for each console to play in the same server.
