Missing MSVCP110.dll in Windows 10
Hello all,
I purchased Battlefield 4 last night, and allowed it to download and install while I slept. When I woke up, I decided to give it a quick startup to ensure that it had installed correctly. Unfortunately, I am being given an error message when i try to launch the game from the website that pulls up after clicking "Play" in the Origin app, (Invalid License. Reason code = Missing DLL: [MSVCP110.dll] Error: 0x7E). I have tried multiple steps to fix this, found in many other threads concerning this topic within this forum. I have also tried attaining the missing .dll file, (with no success), so far, I have exhausted all options with the exception of reinstalling the game. I have also made an attempt to contact EA via twitter, callback service, as well as by phone at their corporate office in California. I would prefer to fix the game and play it, rather than request a refund. I am running the following hardware:
- MSI Radeon R7 370 DirectX 12 R7 370 GAMING 4G 4GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support ...
- AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor
- G.SKILL Ares Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model F3-2400C11D-16GAB
- ASUS ROG Crosshair V Formula-Z AM3+ AMD 990FX + SB950 8 x SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Gaming Motherboard with 3-Way ...
- Antec High Current Gamer Series HCG-900 900W ATX12V v2.3 / EPS12V v2.91 SLI Certified CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS ...
- Windows 10 pro 64bit
I would be very grateful for any advice or assistance in resolving this issue. It should be noted that I am willing and able to complete more complex tasks than that of a beginner, so any steps that you would have me take will not fall upon inexperienced ears.
Thank you,
SP
@Snake_Pliskin91 Hi,
To add on to what the others had suggest, please install the following Visual C++ Redistributable Package from Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30679
Reboot your PC afterwards and let us know how you get on with the game then.
Cheers,
Nils
