Mouse and keyboard don't work in the game- battlefield 4

I can not play the game. The mouse and keyboard is not working in the game. When it starts, I can see my mouse icon but can't click on anything, and keyboard doesn't respond to any command, except A...

Have bought the Deluxe edition... install, get the huge update installed... simply cannot play a single game/campaing/training mission.

Pretty much a joke so far, I skipped BF3 and was looking forward to getting back to BF as I was a big BFV fan.

As per first page, tried deleting the "settings" folder, game then did launch full screen again. But all i have is my mouse moving around, no keyboard input is being detected and all i can do is quit the game from the BattleLog page. Great.
