My new 1060 6GB - Very low fps BF1-open beta & BF4.-How can I Fix?
INFO:
just got my 1060 6GB recently -
RIG/Setup:
CPU: AMD PHENOM II X4 3.4GHz
RAM: 16GB
GPU: 1060 6GB - MSI
WINDOWS 10 64-bit
Windows Power Settings : "HIGH PERFORMANCE"
=========================================
I've been trying to play open beta for bf1, getting extreme low fps, down-spikes to 2-4 fps
- I Don't know what to do.
Things I've done already for _BF1 SETTINGS_
-
42% Scale / 1920x1080 144hz
-
Newest Nvidia Drivers : Version : 372.70
-
Adjusting settings - low / medium / high

Please let me know what else to try. -
I really don't want to put everything on lowest or off.
For BF4- I Just tried lowering the graphics settings, still low fps.
- I Feel like my 560 Ti 1GB was running BF4 better.. Which makes no sense.(vs, the 1060 6GB)
If there's something I need to add let me know / reply.

UPDATE 1
Sept 7th 2016: Fixed Ram issue I was having.
Sept 7th 2016: Fixed Windows System file error I was having
Sept 7th 2016: Tweaked/Messed with the graphic settings a bit also turning v-sync off and disabling some of the settings in game (applies to BF1 & BF4)
--- For my UPDATE 1, both games are now playable, the frames are higher my problem is NOT solved I Feel I should be getting better frames with the 1060 6GB // 16GB .. I now get 40-70+ in bf4 and something like 30-50+ in BF1 open beta.
if you also have a 1060 6GB video card ( I have MSI version )and have 16GB RAM - let me know what kind of fps you're getting in reply, and in general what graphic settings YOU use.
-Main Issue: low frames
: not solved / but playable.
Hi your not going to like what i am about to say more then likely.
The issue your currently experience sounds more and more like a CPU Bottleneck issue.
I have had a few friends with an AMD system that showed the same issues your experiencing. It will not matter if its AMD/AMD or AMD/Nvidia combo's the GPU will always be bottlenecked by the CPU.
A good example was on system had a AMD Radeon R9 270 and it working fine but my friend upgraded the GPU to a AMD Radeon R9 290x that was originally in a Intel System and he was hit by the same issues low framerate etc.
Another friend thats running an 8 Core AMD FX processor is also having the very same issue since he upgraded his Nvidia GTX970 to a Nvidia GTX1070, However once the GTX1070 is placed in a Intel i5 or Intel i7 CPU system it runs fine.
You could try overclocking the CPU to see if this helps else if your really into AMD CPU's wait until the new AM4 Socket comes out with the New AMD CPU's and look at the reviews on that.
