Next battlefield game?

EA may call it Battlefield, but based on BF2042 and where that has brought us, then there won't be another Battlefield.

@CyberDymeThat's the sad thing. It's anyone's guess at this point. All the marketing around this game indicated a return to form, and it's really not. So hopes of a Bad Company 3, etc.?

I think we have to realize that it's been 10 years since the peak of Battlefield. Just like it had been 10 years for Battlefront. And just like Battlefront, clearly DICE is more concerned with anything but the tried and true formula that fans want. It's as if they view the gameplay as archaic, when in reality it's far superior to what they've been doing.

I´m always amused how people are still this naive and think a Bad Company 3 or a BC2 remake in 202X will be the same way (or better) than Bad Company 2 from 2010. Did those people play any Battlefield since BF3 and payed attention to the development of the core design of those games?

@CyberDymeTo be honest, I only bought into this one because of the 128 players. I was curious enough and liked the beta enough to go with the standard edition.

In 2 to 3 years, we will be getting next level stuff from Sony and Microsoft and these third party MTX slot machines will be in serious trouble. The next Battlefield won't even register with me. Halo Infinite is already off to a great start, plus MS has others on the way. Hot rumors have been that Sony might be resurrecting Killzone or even Socom.

It will be a better battlefield than the bf 5 or 042.

They promised that cutting out bf 5 meant going on 2042 to make sure it would not flop. Some who paid for bf 5 were promised expansions that never came. Smells like scam.

But then came fake video and preorders based on it and preorders were filling out the corporate profit targets. That meant the goals were filled sooner, the cycle in which they get the money can be shortened.

If there is no law to stop such evil practice, that counts on deception, then it would be on people to not trust advertisements ever. I never trusted them, adverts to me are cringe, because the more greedy, the more cringey looking for your wallet it gets.

They failed people who bought their product, instead of making sure they do better next time, they told themselves that they can lie better next time. And it seems they did. Yewtoobe shills making millions out of their deception like politicians ? Who would have guessed. Corruption money.

The next BF is already in development, working title is BF2023, it will be a prequel to 2042.
