Solved

No dlc downloading option

I just had to update my origin, after update, i had problems connecting to EA, so i kept on trying to connect and finally it got thru, but my downloads was gliched and i couldn't stop the downloads and origin was just gliching like as if it was lagging big time or something, it wasn't my internet, so i restarted origin, after restart my downloads were gone, i had downloaded half of the DLC's before the update, so it says that i have some of the DLC's installed, great, i try to join a game with a DLC map but is says requires additional expansion pack and that i need to download  the DLC, but it is installed, now before the update i had this issue as well, but the thing is that the DLC's that i had already installed were still downloadable and when i click download it would start but it would say updating, but this would happen like 3 or 4 times a day, but then i would be able to play again, so i dont have a problem with it, but now that all the downloads are gone i cant do it anymore and when i go to BF4 game details and then extra content, there is all my DLC's but there is no option to download any of the DLC's whether it is an already installed DLC or one that i still need to download, i only have a buy and more details option and there is no download option in any of those options, i have restarted origin, i have restarted my PC i have repaired BF4, when i did that it suddenly started to repair one of my DLC's and i can play on the maps of that DLC but it didn't fix the other DLC's, so please help, i dont know what to do and i cant find any problems related to myn on the internet...

THANKS.

  • ok so i fixed it all i had to do was uninstall the origin client and reinstall it and the dlc that i still needed to download started right away.

When I connect to a server that's running a dlct map get message "missing map" and takes to the store. Then the store said already owned so I'm confused what exactly is going on.

i was afraid you would say that, if i do so i will lose my games as well and i just cant do that, i only have a 4mb metered bandwidth so i dont want to do that, ill just play the original maps but thanks for the help man.

  • When you uninstall the Origin client, any save files for games on Origin AND install data will not be deleted. I just uninstalled Origin and reinstalled. BF4 main game is still installed, and my ability to manually install DLC has reappeared on the extra content section for BF4. My DLC is now downloading! Trust me, your install data for your games will be safe, and your save files.

thanks for telling me, after reading your comment i uninstalled origin and just like you say'd it didnt delete my bf4, but it still isnt downloading my DLC's, and there still is no option to download them, i did how ever find out that i can play all the installed DLC's, but only thru the game launcher and not thru battlelog.

but the game launcher keeps crashing after playing for a few min, and it doesnt give a error pop up or something, just go's to desktop.

  • This seems like a much bigger problem. It could be on your side though, your game might not have installed correctly. Have you tried the "repair" option? You may have to reinstall the game. Or post this as separate problem, because nobody seems to be trying to help you :/

Thank you very much, that one helped me! As you said, after reinstalling the origin client it automatically started downloading the missing DLCs.

  • I’m happy it worked 🙂

    Enjoy your gaming!

I believe this problem is pretty big, and EA haven’t yet fixed it. I think it’s when the client doesn’t update properly, but at least we’ve found a way around it

ank you, you just helped me. When i reinstalled origin, it automaticly started installing the lost dlc's

  • I can verify that this works. I downloaded bf4 shortly before bed, I didn't want to leave my pc on to install the dlcs, so I paused the downloads and turned off my computer. I came back and there was no option to download any of them, but as soon as I uninstalled and reinstalled origin they started downloading.
