Recently downloaded BF4 and all dlc and tried running on EA app. the app does not open and run the game but somehow the game is running and open in taskmanager. (says BF4 is running you can now play ...

If the game is already running, as you mentioned, then shut down the game running using the task manager and then try opening a new game.
(I doubt that this game would run 2 versions at the same time)
