online game problem (cant move in online matches)

I have Hughesnet satellite internet connected via cord to the router. When I open multiplayer I can find matches fine and everything... But when I hit deploy in a match, the game wont let me move anywhere.... I'm just running in place... I can hear and see everything going on around me, but it won't let me change weapons, throw grenades, crouch, move, etc... it just sends me back to the position I was in instantly... I don't understand why this is happening, especially since I can see and hear everybody else... if it were because of the internet, wouldn't I not be able to do any of these things? Anyway, does anybody know what is causing this or how I can fix it?

Could you please provide us some details about your hardware (router, network-card, hubs etc.) as well as some more detailed information about your connection? How fast is your connection and what is your ping while playing online matches?

You should make sure that you have disabled your internet/firewall software and that all internet blocking applications (like add-blocker) are closed.

    Cheers

like I said, I have my playstation 3 running on a netgear WNR1000v3 router through hughesnet satellite internet. I don't know the exact ping time, but I do know that the internet speed is good enough, for anything else asked of it... and I managed to get my game 'Payday 2' to work during online gaming on my PS3...it was slow to join, but still worked, while others like COD: ghosts wont let me find a match, and Battlefield 3 & 4 won't let me move my character... but I can still watch everyone else playing in-game and hear them chatting over VoIP

same with me on xbox 360 battlefield hardline
  • I run into this sometimes while I'm playing the whole thing will lock up.

I find that I have accidentally hit the ~ (tilde) key. Hitting it again unlocks things.

    Hello @TWIZTOR_V2

I am really sorry for those connection troubles with Battlefield 4. Can you first try to perform troubleshooting steps, mentioned in this article here on the most common connection problems and the ways to solve them. Keep us posted on your progress.

    Cheers,

    Archi
