Only for the Dedicated Assignment not unlocking or counting?

If you go to my profile you will see that it is not unlocked or counting, http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/Keithstreeter831/assignments/304210898/ps3/

One of my friends has just about the same on the assignments and his are unlocked, http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/trayzuh/assignments/368817420/pc/

Why is my assignment still locked?

    This is kind of a weird one:

    TECHNICALLY, you were not supposed to be able to even start progress on that assignment until the other 4 in that same tier were finished. Obviously this was glitched initially, and prior to this patch, as long as you completed ONE assignment from that tier, then you could start progress on it.

    However, the recent patch "fixed" the issue to make it work as intended, and now I believe you will be required to unlock and finish all 4 from that tier, before you even begin progress on it.

    Maybe your buddy made some progress and will be stuck there too, or maybe it unlocked for him before the patch - I can't be sure as to why it isn't like that for him, but I'm somewhat confident that now you need to finish the first 4 before you start on #5

    I was told that I just needed to do Jake of all trades to unlock it, If you look at the arrows that point to what unlocks what there is nothing pointing to Only for the Dedicated. 

    Just searching around I found a lot more people that have it unlocked and its counting, http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/soldier/holystealth999/assignments/171548990/pc/

    Im seeing that all PC users have it unlocked and Xbox and PS3 users have to finish all assignments before unlocking, that's not really fair!

    We(PC users) had to finish all premium assignments before unlocking Only for the Dedicated as well.

    This is my current status and my last few Recon kills have not counted:

    Only for the Dedicated
    OBJECTIVES

    Get 500 kills with the Assault kit

    500 / 500
    Get 500 kills with the Engineer kit

    500 / 500
    Get 400 kills with the Support kit

    400 / 400
    Get 300 kills with the Recon kit

    289 / 300

    I have 8 of the now 15 completed (scar H specialist +the new armoured assignments to go). 

    So I have to get the other 14 completed before it will record my last 11 recon kills!?!

    DICE changed the way that the ack of All trades and only for the dedicated assignments tally kills with the last patch.  Before the patch you could get credit for killsfor Jack and Dedicated after completing the first assignment under those two assignments, but now after the patch kills for Jack and Dedicated are only counted after you complete all four sub assignments for Jack of All Trades and Only for the dedicated instead of only one.

    One additional point, any kills that you received credit for under Jack of All trades or Only for the dedicated will still be counted towards your total, you just won't get any additional kills credited towards those assignments until all four sub assignments for Jack of all trades and only for the dedicated are completed.

    I know this is an old thread but even after completing all unlocks only for the dedicated is not advancing for me.

    If you have any issues with Battlefield 3 please make a new topic about the issues you are having and what kind of steps you have tried to solve it.
