Option to lock minimap north

I love to play battlefield. I have been playing since Battlefield Vietnam. I got into Battlefield 3 late, but I enjoyed playing it. My least favorite part of Battlefield 3 is that the minimap did not always face north as it had in previous Battlfield games. I really want a feature in Battlefield 4 that would allow me to lock the minimap so that it always faces with north up. Instead of the minimap moving around my soldiers icon the soldiers icon would move around the map.
I have a difficult time orienting myself when I spawn when the minimap isn't facing north. I find myself turning until I face north so that I can remember where I spawned. In critical situations I find myself at a disadvantage when I need to find enemies right when I spawn.
Thank you for all the work you do. I love the Battlefield franchise so much. Please keep up the good work. I know that you can find a way to implement the option to lock the minimap north.
