Origin ID Changer

Question

There really should be a proofing measure put in place to disallow someone to proceed to "change" id name, when the default, current name, is in place.

To further explain, the origin ID changer makes you login, then the default string is the current user name. The user can click next, "changing" the id, and then gets blocked for 7 days. Even worse, is I tried to rearrange capitalization of specific characters in my name, where it decided the ID was then taken. Why does it not say ID taken for the current name?

You don`t get blocked, it only allows you to change the name of your main EA ID once per week.&nbsp;

Yeah I get what you mean now. But the problem is that you still have the same name even if some letters are upper cased now, that is how the system works, if it was not working like that you would have had many people calling them-self with the same name that is not unique.

But since you are the name holder, yes you should be able to change the capitalization of some letters but the option is not available right now, the best you could do is to try and change 1 letter in your name but before that re-arrange all the other letters as you wish.

Blocking out a feature is the same thing. And yes, I'm aware of why it exists, you seemed to have missed my message. A fool proofing measure should be put in place to disallow the mistake to be made. If you change the capitalization of font, it will disallow, stating username is already taken. Tell me how that makes sense?
