[PC] May Patch | FPS Drops from ~96 to 45| Possible reason: 2D Graphics Overlay?

Like some others I've been having FPS drops. I've checked all the usual suspects e.g. driver updates, different settings in Nvidia Control Panel and in game, as well as with and without software like...

    It went well for a few rounds, then it went to absolute garbage again for multiple rounds. I'm sick and tired of missing shots, getting killed, and losing matches because of this FPS issue.

     It has become so frustrating I have decided to uninstall the game and not renew Origin.

    This is a AAA, expensive, title, EA is a multi million dollar company, they are too busy with loot boxes then actually making their games perform.

    Many people for months have asked to fix this, and DICE does drop patches, but until this issue is resolved I am done as a player with this series.

Clean boot is not the same as safe boot, clean boot is to see if there are any programs on the PC that is interfering with Battlefield 1. It will not shut off any drivers, only programs. 

2, I have seen performance issue reports to be solved with cleaning out the document folder. That is why I recommend it. 🙂 

So far I have only seen your report an issue with the UI elements of the game (if you have seen more reports on this, more then welcome to link me those topics), and I want to make sure its not on your end. 🙂

I may have narrowed an instance of this down:

I set FPS to remain steady at 60 outside of the game, and uninstalled GPU Tweak II and Razer Cortex

I also changed achievements to see if that would make a difference.

The game keeps a steady 60 fps about for  the rounds played on St. Quentin Scar. However I'm seeing severe FPS drops in the following, playing as recon:

1. On St. Quentin Scar when the blimp crashes

a. If you're close to where the blimp crashes then FPS will drop down to low 40's (and possibly lower) about, you can notice the game struggling

b. If you're far away when the blimp crashes (say it crashes on E but you're on B about) then FPS will stay the same.

However when you come close to the crash site, even minutes later, then FPS tanks to similar values as above in point a
