PC Shuts down while playing battlefield 4

It is simple, after playing BF4 for 5 or 10 minutes my computer instantly shuts down.

I've been having this problem since a long time I never get an answer from anyone.

Before you say something about my power or gpu, they are just fine. I can play Shadow of Mordor at max graphics, Ryse: Son of Rome also at max graphics and lots of heavy games and i never got an issue.

The problem is only with BF4 and i cannot find a solution.

Here are my specs:

OS: W7 Ultimate 64 Bits

CPU: AMD FX-8350

Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

Graphics: ATI AMD Radeon R9 280X XFX

I just dont know what to do and to try anymore.

PS: Sorry for my bad English.

Hmm is your PC hot after it shuts down? It could be overheating because BF4 is really heavy on Hardwear usage. If not than maybe try reinstalling or repairing the game it self. But first try this!

Turn off Origin in-game and Origin Cloud Storage:

You find that in Origin, Than Origin Tab (top right) and Aplication Settings, Origin In-Game, uncheck Origin Ingame

For Clound storage you go Origin Tab, Aplication Settings, General, Scroll down to Cloud Storage and Uncheck it, cloase to save.

    Try it might help.

And have you been messing with Tick Rate in Ingame settings under Gameplay? If you did you may have set it to high for your Broadband so Lower it or set it back to normal.

Thats all i can think of for now. Hop it helps & sorry for and miss spelling.

    Best regards

  • Its not overheated or anything, i can touch it.

im gonna try origin in gmae and cloud storage now.

  • Could you please tell us your solution, I'm still stuck with this problem.

  • Sorry for not answering before.

I created a user.cfg in the same folder that is BF4.exe. In it i put this two commands: perfoverlay.drawfps1 and game.time.maxvariablefps 61

Then, i went to options in game and put everything to recommended settings. You have an option for recommended video.

Everything was put in high, not ultra as is supposed to be because of my specs. Also i deactivated the anisotropic filtering and deactived HBAO.

I'm a bit frustrated, i just cant play the game at max settings and it's a shame, but well. That fixed it for me.

All this happened after the big update, and it's a lie that it makes the game better just because highly known players say so. For me, it went very bad and wrong.

But well, as it is obvious, i will never get an official answer from EA to play the game as it supposed to play it.

I want to make clear that i did play it in ultra graphics and in 1080p with mantle, but after this ''big update'' if thats how you want to call it, i coudlnt play it the way i used to.

Sorry for my crappy English, and thank you.

Clean out your PC. Your GPU has too much dust in it. Had the same problem yesterday, cleaned out with Vacuum cleaner, works fine. Make sure to clean out all the fans.
