Product code already been used

Hi guys.

I just did a quick search here to see if there were other threads called "code already been used" and just found one or two. I bought my Battlefield 1 from Amazon UK today but got the code already used message.

Amazon said they would refund me, which I'm happy about, but I really wanted to play the game. I take it the safest place to try to buy this game is EA Origin itself? It's kind of got me worried now over buying stuff from Amazon & CDkeys. I've just noticed the Battlefield game is at a good price here too on Origin 🙂

I'm still wondering how my code had already been used though.

Cheers

Bletch

I would recommend to contact EA support perhaps they could tell you why that product code already been used.  How to contact EA support

So, yes as you said you can ask Amazon for a refund the game and then buy Battlefield 1 from Origin Store with 50% discount.

    Hi IIPREST0NII 🙂

I did just that. Simple reply from EA chat support. 'Someone else has used that key' Wish they had told me when but I guess it doesn't matter.

This hurts my relationship with Amazon. I don't want them thinking 'He wants a free game' and it also makes me wary of buying game codes in future, especially from 3rd parties anyway.

    Thanks

    Hey @BletchUK,

Amazon UK ( I reckon the UK in your name stands for the region) is indeed one of our trusted online retailers, so no need to let that crack your relationship. From our experience, Amazon has proven to be very helpful when it comes to those cases.

As @IIPrest0nII stated, Origin would be a safe place to purchase games, especially with sales going on like we had for Black Friday (and more to come). You'll have the advantage of the Great Game Guarantee where you can get a refund for most full EA games, while this is usually not possible for game codes acquired through third parties you activate on your account. Check the links for more information.

    Hi there EA Joker 🙂

My Amazon refund came through 🙂 Got myself some new headphones too.

And later this evening I can finally get to play Battlefield 1!  I'm pretty much new to Origin but have played come of the classic games from EA - looking forward to revisiting Crysis later - and the sequels too which I haven't played yet.

    All the best

    Hey @BletchUK,

thank you for the update, and I'm glad to hear you got everything sorted. Hope you're enjoying Battlefield 1 and your new headphones.

Should be running all smoothly - if it can run Crysis.
